Acura RSX Oil change DIY

Here is how I do my DIY oil change every 5000 miles.

I use synthetic Mobil 1  5W-30 oil, 5 quarts
- Honda oil filter with new washer
- torque wrench
- special tool to remove oil filter
- wrench with socket
- stands (or pieces of wood) on each side
- 2 plastic gloves
- scoot paper towels
- bucket for old oil

Do oil change when your engine is warm not hot.

1. Place your car on stands.
2. Slide oil drain pan under the car and remove bolt, be careful and don't strip it.
3. Locate your oil filter and remove it with special extension tool.
4. Wait 5 min until oil stops dripping.
5. Install new oil filter, before you d it make sure to put some oil on it, just a little bit.
6. Install drain plug with new washer  29 ft lbs
7. Use funnel or old bottle like me and pour new oil to your engine.
8. Old oil pour back to that bottle.
9. Check oil with dip stick.
10. Start the car for minute or two.
11. Check again your oil dip stick, it should read full.
12. Clean area around.

All done :)
